Nebraska
Nebraska has weak gun laws. The state has no law requiring background checks on unlicensed rifle and shotgun sales, no Extreme Risk law, and its laws prohibiting domestic abusers from possessing guns are dangerously incomplete.
To become a safer state, Nebraska can enact a law requiring background checks on all gun sales, enact an Extreme Risk law, and strengthen its laws keeping guns away from domestic abusers.
