Michigan
Michigan has weak gun laws. The state has no law requiring background checks on unlicensed rifle and shotgun sales, no Extreme Risk law, and no laws prohibiting domestic abusers from possessing guns.
To become a safer state, Michigan can enact a law requiring background checks on all gun sales, enact an Extreme Risk law, and enact laws to keep guns away from domestic abusers.
