Indiana
Indiana has some of the weakest gun laws in the country. Despite being one of the first states to enact an Extreme Risk law, Indiana has no law requiring background checks on unlicensed gun sales. Its laws intended to keep guns away from domestic abusers are also dangerously incomplete, and schools can legally arm teachers.
To become a safer state, Indiana can enact a law requiring background checks on all gun sales and strengthen its laws to keep guns away from domestic abusers.
