ATLANTA — Today, Everytown for Gun Safety Victory Fund and House Majority PAC announced $1.2 million in new TV and digital ads that criticize Rich McCormick for his stances on healthcare and on COVID-19. The TV ads will run on Atlanta broadcast stations through the election.
WATCH AD “WRONG”
“Rich McCormick is dangerously wrong on gun violence, on health care, and on COVID-19,” said Charlie Kelly, senior political advisor to Everytown Victory Fund. “With these new ads, we’re reminding Georgia voters of his radical views and what’s at stake in this key race.”
“Georgia’s families want a member of Congress who will expand access to affordable health care and support a national strategy to address the COVID crisis, but Rich McCormick is simply out of step with voters in Georgia’s 7th District,” said Abby Curran Horrell, executive director of House Majority PAC. “Rich McCormick is wrong on the issues, he’s wrong for Georgia’s families, and that’s why he’s going to lose on Election Day.”
“Carolyn Bourdeaux will fight to protect our communities from gun violence and COVID-19, while Rich McCormick rejects the science on both,” said Courtney Spriggs, a volunteer with the Georgia chapter of Moms Demand Action. “These ads should help make the choice clear for voters in the days before voting ends here in Georgia.”
McCormick’s opponent, Carolyn Bourdeaux, is endorsed by Everytown For Gun Safety Action Fund and has received the Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate distinction. She is a staunch supporter of common-sense, broadly popular gun safety laws like background checks on all gun sales.
