In case you missed it, NRA board member Ted Nugent compared Democrats, media, academia and other people to “rabid coyotes” today on Infowars’ Alex Jones Show and said, “you don’t wait till you see one to go get your gun. Keep your gun handy, and every time you see one, you shoot one.”
This is hardly the first despicable thing Ted Nugent has said about those with whom he disagrees, particularly survivors of gun violence. On the Joe Pags Show last Friday, Nugent said Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student David Hogg and his classmates “have no soul” and are “mushy brained children.” Days later, Ted Nugent doubled-down on this and said, “I stand by my words.”
Ted Nugent’s comments this week are just the latest examples of members of NRA leadership peddling hate and dishonesty, including attacking survivors of the Parkland mass shooting.
