NEW YORK — Today, after the jury reached its verdict in the Attorney General of The State of New York v. NRA trial, Everytown for Gun Safety released the following statement:
“We’re two months into 2024 and the NRA has already managed to lose this trial, their longtime leader, and whatever political relevance it had left,” said Nick Suplina, SVP of Law & Policy at Everytown for Gun Safety. “This verdict confirms what we’ve seen in recent elections, in state legislatures, and in the halls of Congress: the gun lobby has never been weaker and the gun safety movement has never been stronger.”
A detailed analysis of the verdict is forthcoming. Everytown experts are available to discuss the verdict and trial — please contact [email protected] to speak with an expert.
