Everytown for Gun Safety Statement on Senate Confirmation of Todd Blanche as Attorney General

WASHINGTON — Today, following the Senate’s confirmation of Todd Blanche as Attorney General of the United States, Everytown for Gun Safety released the following statement: 

“Senate Republicans have confirmed as the nation’s top law enforcement officer a man who claims to be part of the gun industry and refuses to commit to recusing himself from matters involving his family’s business,” said John Feinblatt, president of Everytown for Gun Safety. “By rolling back life-saving gun safety regulations, Blanche is boosting gun industry profits while making mass casualty events more likely, as ATF itself admits. Americans are sick of the Trump Administration’s unprecedented corruption that puts public safety up for sale — and accountability is coming in November.”
