What do you hope to pursue after you graduate?

I hope to be a human rights lawyer or a social worker.

Why is gun violence prevention important to you?

Gun violence is an epidemic that has plagued the world for decades, but it has hit especially hard in the United States. This senseless violence and tragedy can be prevented, and I want to do everything I can to help make our communities and schools safe for everyone.

What are you most proud of working on as a Students Demand Action volunteer?

I’m most proud of working alongside March For Our Lives in Tallahassee at the state capitol rally in February of 2018. It was so inspiring to march alongside so many brave young people and the experience in the Capitol that night made me get truly involved in the movement. I’m so grateful for that and am so proud of how far our work has come.

What public figure or social justice icon do you most admire and why?

I admire Malala Yousafzai for her strength and quiet courage. She has such grace and dignity, and she’s so brave!

If you could only eat one food for a year, what would you pick?

Definitely hummus and pita! I could never get bored of some good ol’ roasted red pepper hummus and bread.

What do you do for self care?

I read, talk to friends, draw, and pet my cat!

What motivates you to keep going?

The hope for a safer future, my friends and family, and my cat.
